Butte Humane Society

Butte Humane Society is one of the oldest non-profit agencies in Butte County, California, working since 1911 to bring humanitarian care to dogs, cats and other animals. 

Our services include adoption and foster, affordable veterinary care and spay/neuter surgeries, and humane education and outreach programs.

Come to Woofstock Chico to support all the work that BHS does for animals and the community! 

Woofstock Chico is a music & fun festival benefitting the animals of Butte Humane Society. Well behaved dogs on leash and their humans welcome!

Spend the day grooving to local bands, drinking local beer, savoring delicious food, shopping our vendor marketplace, and participating in family and dog friendly activities. 

You bring a blanket and lawn chair and we will provide the positive vibe, libations, performances and festivities!
