Woofstock Chico

Butte Humane Society is one of the oldest non-profit agencies in Butte County, California, working since 1911 to bring humanitarian care to dogs, cats and other animals. Our services include adoption and foster, affordable veterinary care and spay/neuter surgeries, and humane education and outreach programs.

We recently wrapped up a 4 year long capital campaign and construction project to move into a beautiful 25,000 square foot facility. Come to Woofstock Chico to see our amazing new facility and all the work that BHS does for animals and the community! 

Woofstock Chico is a music & fun festival benefitting the animals of Butte Humane Society. Well behaved dogs on leash and their humans welcome!

Spend the day grooving to local bands, drinking local beer, savoring delicious food, shopping our vendor marketplace, and participating in family and dog friendly activities. 

You bring a blanket and low-backed chair and we will provide the positive vibe, libations, performances and festivities!

Make or join a team for peer to peer – or should we say “peer to paw” - team fundraising! Collab with friends and fellow animal lovers to raise funds for the 10,000 cats and dogs BHS serves each year!  

Registration is free, and all donations go towards supporting homeless pets and the creation of this amazing event.
